VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE TEE. MISSGUIDED FLARES

Posted on 28/09/2014

We all see skinny jeans knocking all over the place nowadays so I'm taking it back to the live free, have fun, love each other days today on the blog! This is the perfect comfy slip on outfit, the bell bottoms are stretch and I'd say a lot more comfortable than any of the skinny jeans I own.

SIMPLICITY IS NEXT TO GODLINESS ... WHITE AND GOLD

Trousers - Charity Shop and Reworked / Top - Charity Shop / Necklace - My Own

A pair of white trousers in my opinion should be a staple in any girls wardrobe, just like a LBD or a pair of smashing black boots (but i know we all have those anyway) I picked these tailored pants up from a charity shop in a size 16 and just hand stitched them in at the front to create this pleated look... would you have ever known!? There's a better photo of me in them below from Manchester Vogue Fashion Night Out. Yet again, the top is also from a charity shop. Silver, Gold and Holographic seem to be a key trend this season that not many people are aware of, and when i saw this top and noticed it was paisley print too.. well i had to get it for £3.. who wouldn't. My choker is genuinely a pair of tights cut up and rolled in to a strange with a vintage pendant on it! Shabbang.
I have had a weekend at home this week with the family, as i was a very lucky girl and got put off work! Never happens by the way! My paps treated me to a beautiful new leather bag which will be featured soon and i also picked myself up some amazing silver heels from Topshop. I've been shopper happy.. too much!

BRINGING PLAIDY BACK

Posted on 16/09/2013

Leather pants - Topshop / Hat - Carhartt / Tee - H&M / Shirt - Cow Vintage / Bag - Topshop / Jewels - Made / Boots - RI

It's been pretty damn cold lately hasn't it, so iv'e been wearing my leather pants a lot again. I forgot i even had them but i dug them out and now they're perf for this weather. AND ITS BEANIE WEATHER AGAIN YAY! You can't beat a good ol' beanie, and this one is my fave by Carharrt, always selling these plain ones, i cut the bobble off this one though because the shape is slightly taller on them. (oops).

My plaid shirt is from Cow Vintage, they have an unbelievable range of plaid shirts that are pre loved or new for their line, so go check them out, and they last forrreverrr, and for all seasons!! My coltrane boots are must with everything i wear lately as i mentioned before. They're glued to my feet, bit obsessive really.

I've been working a lot this week as i have a new job and i love it there so getting time to blog is extra special now, and im going back to university next week (excite!). I'l probably rock this ootd a lot to lectures or town when i'm going to spend my first wages or .. dun dun dunnnnnn Student Loan!!

Happy Monday guys ... Elysia x

PAISLEY BOHEMIAN DREAM DRESS

Posted on 08/09/2013

Dress - Chairty Shop / Boots - Topshop / Cuff - Carboot / Necklace - Homemade

Yet again the cat sneaked in to the living room and managed to photo bomb at least one photo... the others he was kinda looking at me like 'what the hell is she doing...'

This is my favourite most recent charity shop purchase, it's quite mahoosive but its a dream to wear!! The paisley print in pink and purple is perfect for summer going in to a/w too. Paired it with some grungey lil boots from topshop, quite a casual look i think for the day. Last night i rolled the dress up and tied it at one side asymmetrically with a bobble and wore it with my ripped up old black skinnies... it works! I picked up this great cuff from a carboot last week too, engraved with aztec navajo patterns on it, it goes perf with my homemade choker, yet again made from my boyfriends inherited pendants. The colours tie in with the dress too i think!

Its getting a bit chilly now isn't it guys, so i think i'd have to put a little shawl on with this or an over sized blazer to keep me from dying a cold (i'm always cold, even when the heating is on). Honestly, i wore my big black fur French Connection coat, because its like wearing a big hug :)

LOUNGING IN CHARITY SHOP KIMONOS

Posted on 04/09/2013

Dress - Topshop / Cover up - Charity Shop / Boots - Topshop / Necklace - Made by me / Bracelets - boyfriend's uncles and H&M

So after a week off I've decided to do some blogging in the comfort of home. I had to move the cat half way through because he was photo bombing on the sofa!! Hope you like it...

This dress was one of my favourites last year from Topshop, and its gone through this year being the same, and fits too (and you can't go wrong with crochet OR cut outs). Now, the cover up... it's from a charity shop and its actually an old button up dress, I've just opened it and removed the shoulder pads, but how nice is it really, such a bargain.

As i recently mentioned, my boyfriend had inherited a heap full of sterling silver pendants and jewellery and i was like a kid at Christmas when i saw it all, the necklace i have on here is a pair of tights with one of his pendants on it. DIY madness. Same with the stone pendant bracelet, this was also a little find in his treasure box. The boots i have are similar to the usual ones i feature but they're slightly more casual with 3 buckles on them to grunge up any outfit. My barbie pink lipstick is Barry M and my hair, well there's just no excuse for my hair, 90s kid special!

Ps... I apologise for all the weird faces you can see in the reflections in the mirror, hehe.

Mink Pink 'Its All Happening Coat' Lusting

Posted on 24/08/2013

Modcloth.com

Ok so i couldn't help myself, i had to post about this A-mazing coat! I was doing a wishlish on Polyvore and browsing Mink Pink's new products and prints and i came across this earlier in the week. Mink Pink have just pulled it out the bag again, but when do they ever cease to amaze?? I love everything about it!

This faux fur coat was designed by the talented Rachel Evans, also responsible for the other epic mink pink pieces, and just screams vintage mod!! It features a textured dark rainbow look all over with a fur collar, perfect for the fall in to winter and i am going to rave about this coat until i can pull some money out my bag to purchase it. After all who isn't skint these days!? The detail in this coat is ridiculous, you can see every piece of wool in every different hue, even the gold buttons and the silk navy lining are tip top. You can pick it up from Modcloth.com for $134.99 right here, so around 95-100 pounds. Just guessing though so don't take my word for that, you'll have to get Google on the case!

Depending on how you like to wear your clothes determines which size, if your like me, you like oversized pieces, i'd probably get this is a medium or a large so it had even more of a vintage feel to it and even better to just 'throw' over your under dress!

I can imagine this being warn on a fall night's get together in a garden with the chimney fire blaring and the little lanterns dawning in the background with everybody drinking corona and listening to some epic tunes. Styling wise over a floaty cream or white maxi with some chunky boots. (Just describing this makes me want it even more).

I hope to post about this coat.. with me actually in it, in the future... I hope you like it too :)
